A Prayer For Peace
O God, you will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are fixed on you; for in returning and rest we shall be saved; in quietness and trust shall be our strength.

— Isaiah 26:3; 30:15

A Prayer of Peace For The Youth In Our Community

To the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and even us, I pray for the youth in our community.  I pray that your hedge of protection will cover them all.  In their homes, in their schools and in their neighborhoods keep them safe from the attacks of Satan.  Please dispatch your angels round about them night and day.  Likewise, please give them a mind to be peaceful themselves.  Even as they handle conflict, let them walk in love and understanding endeavoring to make great choices.  Please give them the support they need in their parents.  Let their parents use wisdom in keeping their guns locked and safely put away from their children.  As we believe the prayers will be answer by our faith, we will exalt you now in Jesus’ precious name, who is our Prince of Peace.  Amen

The Twenty-Third Psalm

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters;
he restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff–they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

— Psalms 23: 1-6

Grant Us Your Peace

O Lord, my God,grant us your peace; already, indeed, you have made us rich in all things!Give us that peace of being at rest,that sabbath peace,the peace which knows no end.

— St. Augustine

(Inayat Khan, founder of the Sufi Order in the West, was born in Baroda, India, on July 5, 1882)

Send Thy peace O Lord, which is
perfect and everlasting,
that our souls may radiate peace.

Send Thy peace O Lord, that we
may think, act and speak harmoniously.

Send Thy peace O Lord, that we
may be contented and thankful for
Thy bountiful gifts.

Send Thy peace O Lord, that amidst
our worldly strife, we may enjoy Thy bliss.

Send Thy peace O Lord, that we
may endure all, tolerate all, in the thought of
Thy grace and mercy.

Send Thy peace O Lord, that our lives
may become a Divine vision and in Thy light,
all darkness may vanish.

Send Thy peace O Lord, our Father and Mother,
that we Thy children on Earth may all
unite in one family.

Make Me An Instrument of Your Peace

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light,
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console,
not so much to be understood as to understand,
not so much to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
it is in dying that we awake to eternal life.

— St. Francis of Assisi

Prayer For Peace Among Nations

O Almighty God,
the Father of all humanity,
turn, we pray, the hearts of all peoples and their rulers,
that by the power of your Holy Spirit
peace may be established among the nations
on the foundation of justice, righteousness and truth;
through him who was lifted up on the cross
to draw all people to himself,
your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

— William Temple (1881-1944)

 The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
forever in the next.
Amen.

— Reinhold Niebuhr (1892-1971)

Father in the name of Jesus we give you honor and praise and we magnify your holy name. We thank you for the gift of life. We thank you for the power of your Holy Spirit and the precious blood of your son Jesus.

We thank you for the precious children you have given us to rear in the reverential fear and love of you. We ask that you continually keep your hand upon them as they matriculate in Alachua County Public Schools. Father, we pray that every person that comes in contact with them will speak blessings over their lives. We decree that every demonic force that tries to come against our children be bound now in the name of Jesus. We decree that no weapon formed against them shall prosper and no attack of the enemy shall cause their faith to fail. We loose your love, peace, revelation wisdom, knowledge, and understanding over all of our children so that they might fulfill their divine purpose.

We speak blessings over the lives of the parents, administrators, teachers, support staff, bus drivers, crossing guards, and all personnel that interacts with our children. We decree that they will speak to our children with your love, patience, and kindness. We thank you for providing them with the resources, support, and finances needed to effectively operate and manage the school system. We profess abundance and overflow in the name of Jesus.

Father, we thank you for honoring our prayer. Thank you for loving us and never forsaking us. We live for you and we bless your holy name. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

I Live to Worship Him

John 4:23-24

Father, in the name of Jesus, as we enter into another school year, we pray that your angels of protection surround each student and that that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We come against the spirit of deception that will try to blind our youth and cancel every plan and attack of the enemy in the name of Jesus. I decree that every Parent, Teacher, Teacher’s Aide, Volunteer, Guest Speaker, Administrative and Faculty Staff Members are anointed and led by Your Spirit and by Your Word. I also decree that they are living their lives in the beauty of holiness. Thank you Father that they abide in You and You abide in them.

We declare that every student will know God’s love and will thirst and hunger after His righteousness. Every student will be a living witness for you and not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Their lives will be holy, pleasing and acceptable unto You. We speak against anything that will try to hinder our youth like peer pressure, violence, drug abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse, identity issues, self-esteem issues, sex, depression, suicide and generational curses, in Jesus Name.

We decree that every student shall excel in all of their classes. We believe that they are above only and never beneath. Thank You Lord that each student is free to let their lights shine, so that they may be the light of their schools and that You will be glorified. We thank you that every student is walking in purpose and destiny. We believe that they are the Trendsetters and Trailblazers of their generation. Thank You for favor and increase that comes to them daily. And we decree that each student will continue to grow in wisdom and stature, today and every day.

We thank you for the manifestation of these prayers, In Jesus Name, Amen.

My prayers will be there for the silence of violence in the schools and the community. Also, I come against the enemy especially at fun activities, as sporting events where there appears to be elements of the enemy perpetrating on these events. I will remember this in my daily prayers. BLESSINGS TO YOU AND THE PAVE TEAM!
